POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs general rig labor and maintenance activities to support safe and efficient offshore drilling operations, including cargo handling, housekeeping, equipment relocation, basic repairs, and providing operational support to drilling and maintenance crews under the direction of the Crane Operator.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safely and efficiently perform the general manual labor tasks throughout the rig under the supervision of the Crane Operator.
Offloading and backloading of supply vessels, maintenance, clean up, housekeeping, chipping and painting of the rig, the movement and relocation of supplies, groceries and equipment of the rig, simple maintenance and repairs to the plumbing and sewer systems, working in the chemical mixing area, as well as providing relief workers for the drill floor crew and assistance to the Welder, Mechanic, Electrician, Driller or Derrickhand as directed to do so by the Crane Operator.

REQUIREMENTS:

High School graduate or GED.
Requires a minimum of 0 years in the drilling industry; experience preferred.
Ability to read, write and speak English to be able to understand verbal and written instructions as well as give them.
Ability to climb derrick structures with required PPE, climb tall flights of stairs, work out of a riding harness for lengthy periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
Must pass pre-employment UA.
Provide own transportation to and from the work site.
