Baptist Health is hiring a Scheduling Analyst-UKG in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-time Day shift opportunity.
The Scheduling Analyst serves as a key operational and technical resource supporting workforce scheduling optimization across the healthcare system, and partners closely with nursing leadership, operational departments, Human Resources, payroll, and Information Technology to design, maintain, enhance, and support scheduling systems and workflows. This role is expected to have a strong understanding of healthcare staffing operations, scheduling practices, and labor management principles while providing consultative support to operational leaders, and requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and the ability to translate operational needs into scalable scheduling solutions.
Scheduling Analyst, Job Responsibilities:
Scheduling Support & Optimization
a. Maintain and support scheduling system functionality within a healthcare environment.
b. Analyze scheduling workflows and recommend operational improvements and automation opportunities.
c. Support schedule builds, staffing templates, rotations, self-scheduling, shift rules, and staffing configurations.
d. Maintain pay rules, scheduling rules, staffing matrices, and labor management configurations.
e. Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
f. Collaborate with Information Technology and operational leaders during upgrades, testing, implementations, and enhancements.
g. Ensure scheduling practices align with organizational staffing policies and labor standards.
Operational Partnership
a. Serve as a consultative partner to nursing and operational leadership on workforce scheduling best practices.
b. Assist departments with schedule optimization, staffing efficiencies, and labor management initiatives.
c. Provide recommendations for process improvements and workflow standardization.
d. Support operational change management initiatives related to staffing and scheduling..
Reporting & Analytics
a. Analyze scheduling and staffing data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
b. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics.
c. Monitor data integrity and ensure accurate system configuration and maintenance.
Project & Implementation Support
a. Participate in system implementations, enhancements, integrations, and optimization projects.
b. Assist with testing scenarios, validation, issue resolution, and go-live support.
c. Document workflows, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
Experience Requirements:
- 3-5 years Supporting scheduling systems in a healthcare or hospital environment- (required)
Education & Credential Requirements:
- BA/BS (preferred) - Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, Human Resources, or related field.
- High school diploma required.
