Senior Data Modeler (Banking)

We are looking for a Senior Data Modeler (Banking) to join our team and take ownership of key areas within our technology and data platform. Owns the banking data model from source systems through to canonical entities, identity rules, and attribute definitions. Works with client risk and compliance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and deliver solutions within the scope of the role, from requirements and technical/design decisions through implementation and continuous improvement.

• Work closely with engineering, product, data, design, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

• Apply strong engineering and/or domain expertise to build reliable, maintainable, and production-ready capabilities.

• Contribute to architecture, standards, documentation, quality, and technical decision-making appropriate to the role.

• Identify performance, scalability, data quality, usability, reliability, or operational risks and address them proactively.

• Collaborate across teams to ensure solutions integrate effectively with existing systems and platform components.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with: Banking data modelling, core banking data, BIAN, ISO 20022, card and payments data, transaction enrichment, identity resolution, SQL.

• Strong working knowledge of core banking structures: CIF, party, account, product, ledger.

• Hands on with card scheme data across authorisation, clearing and settlement, MCC codes, and payment rails.

• Transaction enrichment and merchant normalisation in production, not as a lookup table.

• Identity resolution across fragmented customer records, joint accounts, and corporate hierarchies.

• Understands KYC, CDD, and regulatory limits on secondary use of transaction data.

• Maps source systems to a canonical model and writes implementable specifications, not slide decks.

Domain Requirement:

• Banking is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• Customer data platform or single customer view delivery.

• Islamic banking product structures.

• Experience running requirements workshops with client stakeholders.
