Job Description
The Senior Reimbursement Accounting Analyst will be responsible for preparing and analyzing Medicare and Medicaid cost report templates, inputting information into the cost report program, and ensuring proper costs are identified in specific departments and cost centers. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
路聽聽聽聽聽 Prepare and maintain Medicare and Medicaid cost report workpapers, supporting schedules, and reimbursement analyses in accordance with federal and state regulatory requirements
路聽聽聽聽聽 Compile, validate, and reconcile financial, statistical, labor, and census data utilized in cost report preparation and reimbursement reporting
路聽聽聽聽聽 Analyze general ledger activity, trial balances, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate cost reporting treatment and proper allocation of expenses
路聽聽聽聽聽 Perform detailed account analysis to identify reimbursement-related costs and ensure expenses are accurately assigned to the appropriate departments and cost centers
路聽聽聽聽聽 Review cost reports and supporting schedules for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable reimbursement regulations and filing requirements
路聽聽聽聽聽 Research and interpret Medicare, Medicaid, and state-specific reimbursement regulations and apply findings to complex reimbursement scenarios
路聽聽聽聽聽 Respondtocostreport auditsbyproviding alldocumentationrequested by theauditor, including
路聽聽聽聽聽 invoices,journalentrybackup,andotheritemsasrequested

Education and Experience
路聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with 2-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, including 6-8 years of relevant reimbursement, finance, or accounting experience
路聽聽聽聽聽 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel and Copilot enabled productivity tools
路聽聽聽聽聽 Workday experience desired
路聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting requirements is preferred
