Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Salesforce Integration & Messaging Engineer to architect and develop the connective tissue between our Salesforce ecosystem and core enterprise engines. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that data flows flawlessly in real-time between CRM/Communications Cloud and our downstream OSS/BSS platforms.

Additionally, you will own the customer-facing communications architecture—building the infrastructure that triggers automated, multi-channel notifications (SMS, Email, WhatsApp) to update subscribers dynamically during critical order milestones, provisioning phases, and field technician dispatch events.

Key Responsibilities

BSS/OSS Integration Architecture: Design and build robust, secure, and scalable integrations connecting Salesforce to core OSS/BSS engines, billing systems, and provisioning gateways.
API & Middleware Development: Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs, Apex web services, and/or middleware flows (such as MuleSoft or AWS EventBridge) to process real-time provisioning signals and data synchronization.
Event-Driven Streaming: Implement asynchronous processing and event-driven architectures utilizing Salesforce Pub/Sub API, Change Data Capture (CDC), or Platform Events to handle high-volume transactional data.
Omni-Channel Customer Messaging: Architect and configure automated customer notification journeys (SMS, Email, WhatsApp) via Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Digital Engagement, or external SMS gateways (e.g., Twilio) triggered by Salesforce data changes.
Milestone-Driven Communications: Collaborate with Order Management and Field Service engineering teams to map out critical order milestones and truck-roll events, ensuring customers receive timely, automated updates.
Error Handling & Monitoring: Build comprehensive logging, retry mechanisms, and error-handling frameworks within Salesforce to prevent data loss or skipped customer alerts during downstream system outages.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development, with a heavy emphasis on enterprise-level system integration, API design, and messaging middleware.
Integration Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of integration patterns (Request-Reply, Fire-and-Forget, Pub/Sub) and Salesforce integration tools (Apex Callouts, REST/SOAP APIs, Named Credentials, JWT).
Messaging & Marketing Tech: Hands-on experience configuring automated communications via Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Contact Builder, API triggers) or Salesforce Digital Engagement.
Telecom Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of telecommunications architecture (OSS/BSS integration layers, real-time activation signals, and customer lifecycle communication workflows).
Advanced Salesforce Dev: Mastery of Apex (Triggers, Batch, Queueable, Future methods), Platform Events, and secure coding practices.
Note: Experience with MuleSoft, Apache Kafka, or AWS integration services is a massive plus.
