Share a Coffee, a Card Game, and a Conversation

An elderly Italian gentleman living in residential aged care in Bayview is looking for a volunteer visitor to spend some quality time with each week.

Originally from Italy, he enjoys the simple pleasures in life and would welcome someone who would like to chat, share stories, and perhaps practise their Italian along the way. While his English is limited, a friendly smile, a game of cards, and a shared interest can say more than words ever could.


He enjoys:

  • Playing cards

  • Watching TV together

  • Following the NRL and discussing the latest games

  • Having a chat over a cup of tea

  • Sharing stories about life and family

  • Going for leisurely walks around the village grounds

Imagine spending an hour or two each week sitting together, watching a game, enjoying a friendly card match, or taking a relaxed walk while sharing conversation. These small moments of connection can make a world of difference to an older person's wellbeing, helping them feel valued, engaged, and connected to the community.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare • 

We would be happy to discuss your availability Monday to Sunday, for a one-hour visit between 9am to 5pm for an hour visit weekly or fortnightly.
