The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you tomake a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in Scone. 

From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga,baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords… whatever youlove, you can share it with someone who loves it too.  

As a Volunteer Social Visitor, you will providecompanionship and meaningful social interaction for older people living in aresidential care home. Spend time engaging with residents one-on-one or insmall groups.  

Volunteering as a social visitorcan be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well asyourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of lifeand help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we'repassionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have awonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of theclients cared for by HammondCare.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote linksbetween elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week fora one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weeklyto fortnightly depending on your availability.
