The Solutions Architect partners with the Sr. Solutions Architect, development teams, and business units to design scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions across AWS Cloud and on-premises environments. This role ensures technology initiatives align with enterprise architecture standards and the IT Vision: “A collaborative partner delivering innovative ideas, solutions, and services to simplify people’s lives.” The Solutions Architect is responsible for translating business needs into well-architected designs that drive modernization, promote architectural consistency, and enable strategic business objectives through effective collaboration and technical leadership.Â

Responsibilities
How do I make an impact on my team?  Â
- Provide feedback and technical input on architecture designs for strategic projects, ensuring alignment with the overall Navitus ecosystem with the guidance of the Senior Solutions ArchitectÂ
- Assist in developing target-state architectures, roadmaps and solution designs that foster collaboration between development, enterprise architecture, and business teamsÂ
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand current processes, translate them into technical specifications, and identify opportunities for improvement through technology solutionsÂ
- Partner with peer Solution Architects to evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, standards, and design patterns that support successful delivery of initiativesÂ
- Promote and reinforce industry-leading practices and coding standards within development teams to ensure consistency, quality, and maintainabilityÂ
- Support new feature implementation by assisting in the design of scalable, sustainable solutions and providing technical guidance throughout implementationÂ
- Serve as a resource on coding and design best practices, reference architectures, and fostering a culture of technical excellence within delivery teamsÂ
- Partner with development teams to estimate effort for key features and assess feasibility, risks, and dependenciesÂ
- Track and report on project progress, proactively identifying and escalating issues that may impact delivery timelines or qualityÂ

Qualifications
What our team expects from you? Â
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience in the field of architecture or development, required Â
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or higher certification preferred Â
- 8 years of work experience in the field of architecture or development is requiredÂ
- Experience developing and deploying AWS solutions using core services (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SNS, RDS, ECS) and Infrastructure as Code with CDK requiredÂ
- Experience implementing DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) and automation processes for application build, deployment, and monitoring requiredÂ
- Experience in designing and delivering complex, cross-platform architectures integrating cloud and on-premises systems requiredÂ
- Experience building high-performance, scalable, and highly available applications requiredÂ
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) requiredÂ
- Experience with SQL and data architecture, including database design, optimization, and performance tuning requiredÂ
- Experience collaborating with development and business teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications requiredÂ
- Experience guiding developers through implementation of technical designs and enforcing coding standards requiredÂ
- Knowledge of healthcare data integrations (e.g., EDI X12, NCPDP, HL7/FHIR) and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and CMS security standards preferredÂ
- Knowledge of PBM systems, claims adjudication processes, and data exchange patterns between payers, providers, and pharmacies preferredÂ
- Experience interviewing end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues requiredÂ
- Experience working on a mature Scrum/Agile team preferredÂ
- Experience with modern technology platforms and cloud technologies (such as Kubernetes, Dockers, Azure, Kafka, and/or Microservices) requiredÂ
- Advanced experience with multiple modern languages, including C#, React, and Python required Â

- The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employeesÂ
