Your Opportunity, Your Team

The Sr Software Engineer, Enterprise Data Warehouse supports QVC Group, and builds and supports enterprise data integrations that power internal systems and users.

You'll join the Enterprise Data Management team and help develop ETL workflows. You'll work with global EDM development teams, infrastructure partners, IT colleagues, business analysts, and external resources to provide reliable, scalable data solutions.

 

Where You'll Work

This role is remote; job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: PA, NJ, DE. This role may require you to be on site at in West Chester, PA as needed.

 

What You'll Do

  • Provide thought leadership to the rest of the development team and mentor junior staff members.

  • Collaborate with Scrum Master in determining the sequence of development execution and own and deliver design artifacts for each sprint.

  • Work closely with Principal Engineers, Solution, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure strategic solutions aligned with the enterprise reference architecture.

  • Works independently to develop, configure, code, and test programs of varying complexity and scope

  • Apply knowledge of the latest trends in the industry and engage with other team members to consult and help implement appropriate technology practices and solutions.

  • Ensure implementations are highly scalable, highly available, performant, and secure.

  • Estimate own and, in some cases feature-level work effort for input to project planning.

  • Escalate delays, issues, risks, and highlights to project managers and/or project leads.

 

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in data warehousing, database design, ETL, and large-scale data processing, cleansing, and quality

  • Hands-on experience building ETL solutions with major RDBMS platforms and SQL, plus cloud data tools such as Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, ADLS, PySpark, and Azure DevOps

  • Strong understanding of data warehouse design, including slowly changing dimensions, aggregation, partitioning, indexing, and Lambda architecture for batch and real-time processing

  • Experience performance tuning, troubleshooting distributed systems, and supporting 24x7 production environments

  • Strong problem-solving, documentation, and collaboration skills, with experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and CI/CD pipelines

  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, source code management tools, and exposure to Stonebranch, BI tools such as Tableau or MicroStrategy, and AI is a plus
