The Sr. Specialist, Performance Media will support the development, execution, and optimization of lower-funnel media strategies designed to drive leads, vehicle sales, inventory movement, and measurable business outcomes across AutoNation's portfolio of brands and dealership locations.
This role will partner closely with the Sr. Manager, Performance Media to support enterprise performance planning, campaign optimization, audience activation, performance analysis, testing initiatives, and agency management across performance-focused media channels including Paid Search, Performance Max, Meta, Vehicle Listing Ads (VLA), Inventory Ads, Retargeting, Lead Generation, and emerging performance media solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong platform expertise, analytical thinking, and performance marketing experience to help translate business objectives into actionable media strategies and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Planning & Optimization

  • Support the development of lower-funnel media strategies across AutoNation brands and business lines.
  • Assist in the creation of annual, quarterly, and campaign-level performance media plans.
  • Analyze channel performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Support forecasting, budget tracking, and performance reporting across channels.
  • Assist in developing optimization recommendations focused on lead generation, sales performance, and efficiency metrics.

Demand Generation Support

  • Support initiatives designed to drive vehicle sales, lead generation, service appointments, and customer acquisition.
  • Partner with Analytics, CRM, Agency, and Media Operations teams to support audience activation and campaign performance.
  • Analyze consumer behavior, audience trends, and platform insights to inform planning recommendations.
  • Support inventory-based marketing initiatives and market-specific performance opportunities.

Measurement & Performance Analysis

  • Monitor campaign performance and analyze results against established KPIs.
  • Support attribution, conversion measurement, MMM, MTA, lift studies, and incrementality initiatives.
  • Assist in developing testing plans and documenting learnings across channels and audiences.
  • Translate performance insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Develop recurring reporting and performance summaries for stakeholders.

Agency & Partner Management

  • Partner with agencies and media vendors to support campaign execution and optimization efforts.
  • Review agency recommendations and performance reporting.
  • Support evaluation of platform opportunities, vendor partnerships, and emerging technologies.
  • Assist in maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in performance marketing, paid media, digital marketing, or advertising; agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting Paid Search, Performance Max, Paid Social, Retargeting, Vehicle Listing Ads, and lead generation programs.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing principles, attribution, conversion measurement, and optimization methodologies.
  • Experience analyzing campaign performance and developing data-driven recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Analytics, CRM, Agency, Creative, and Media teams.
  • Automotive, retail, franchise, or multi-location marketing experience preferred.
