Job Description for DevOps Engineer-II 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Design and develop automation of infrastructure, championing best practices in service operation, delivery, scale, and observability. 
  

• Engage in the continuous integration and continuous deployment lifecycle of services, from design and inception through deployment, operation, and continuous refinement. 
  

• Contribute system design, capacity planning, and pre-production activities to support services before they go live. 
  

• Ensure optimal service performance by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and system health. Implement sustainable scaling through automation and push for system evolution to boost reliability and deployment velocity. 
  

• Actively participate in incident response and conduct blameless postmortems to foster continuous improvement. 
  

Core Requirements: 

• Minimum of 4 years in DevOps, system administration, or similar roles, with a proven track record in supporting enterprise-level applications. 
  

• Experience in creating resources in Kubernetes 
  

• Extensive experience with Azure; familiarity with GCP and AWS is an added advantage 
  

• Strong command of at least one compiled programming language along with experience in scripting languages such as Bash or Python. 
  

• At least 2-4 years in production engineering or a similar capacity. 
  

• Deep understanding of Linux internals, networking, CI/CD methodologies, and best practices with tools like Azure DevOps. 
  

• Expertise in using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform/Azure ARM Templates for automated system deployments. 
  

• Experience deploying applications in containerized environments using Kubernetes or Docker Swarm. 
  

• Familiarity with Azure Services like Application Insights, App Configurations, Key vault, API Management Services, Alerting & Monitoring and AKS.
  

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience in creating build and deployment pipelines with Azure DevOps  
  

• Expertise in managing applications with Kubernetes 
  

• Working knowledge of both Azure and GCP. 
  

• Experience working with Security scans like Fortify, Veracode or other tools. 
  

• Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. 
  

• Proficient in working with APIs and Plugins for integrating diverse tooling into established CI/CD pipelines.
