Job DetailsJob Location: Sumay Store - Santa Rita, GU 96915Position Type: Full TimeJOB PURPOSE:  The Store Janitor at PAY-LESS is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and employees. This role is essential in ensuring that the store is presentable and upholds the company's standards of cleanliness and hygiene. ESSESNTIAL DUTIE/RESPONSIBILITIES:  Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.  Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.  Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with store policies.  Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning supplies.  Maintain cleanliness in common areas, including break rooms and customer service areas.  Report any maintenance or repair needs to management promptly.  Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.  Assist with setting up and breaking down displays as needed.  Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when supplies need to be replenished. QualificationsEDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent preferred REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles is advantageous Experience in a retail environment is a plus KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and floor scrubbers Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within assigned time frames Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills to interact with store staff and management Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
