Job Description:

This role will be part of a crew responsible for maintaining and repairing drainage pipes, basins, and easements using a variety of machines, tools, and equipment.

 Examples of Duties:

  • Cut and remove debris from drainage easements.
  • Assist in repairing drainage pipes and/or drainage catch basins.
  • Operate hand tools and equipment such as weed eaters, pole saws, chainsaws, and other equipment.
  • Assists in taking measurements of the worksite and in deciding quantities and types of material and equipment needed. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license to assist in driving a pickup truck to deliver tools, materials, equipment, etc. 

 Other Necessary Requirements:

  • May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs.
