Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Building engineering from a recognized university or college. Overall work experience of 7+ years including work experience of more than 5 years in all facets of plant structural engineering and design of stick-built /module (onshore and offshore) Structures of Oil & Gas / petrochemical facility development.

1. Complete the work as a structural engineer of Piperack, equipment supporting structure, shelter, platform, miscellaneous support for oil refinery projects, LNG plant projects, and/or gas processing plant projects
2. Structural analysis as per relevant international codes and/or project specifications/guidelines
3. Control design status and schedule for structural activities
4. Control cost (manhour and BQ) for structural activities
5. Verify engineering subcontractor’s products as inputs
6. Review vendor’s drawing and other disciplines drawing
7. Review 3D model and coordinate structural layout with other disciplines and engineering subcontractors to avoid clash.
8. Proactively discuss and resolve design conflicts with other disciplines
9. Providing inputs to designers for 3D modelling and 2D drawings including drawing checking


Requirements

1. Sound Knowledge of structural engineering including input and output
2. Knowledge of international code and standards (such as AISC, ASCE, ACI, PIP, Eurocode and BS etc...) for steel and concrete structural design
3. Ability to perform design engineering for pipe racks, equipment structures and other miscellaneous supports
4. Basic Knowledge of 3D modelling philosophy
5. Basic knowledge of commonly used engineering design software tools (STAAD Pro etc)
6. Knowledge of international code and standards (such as ASCE, UBC etc...) for Structural design including wind load and seismic load
7. Willing to adapt to the organisation’s method of work delivery
8. Awareness of standard international styles of business communication and experience in the preparation of business and technical documentation
9. Knowledge of design information of plant facilities (Piping, Electrical, Instrument, Equipment etc.) in oil refinery projects, LNG plant projects, and/or gas processing plant projects STAAD PRO operation skills.
10. Knowledge of Calculation for connection capacity
11. Navisworks operation skills.
12. MS office working knowledge
