Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organizationās gender-equity agenda.Membership is aĀ minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per weekĀ and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. Kā12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.

This is a pro bono volunteer position.

JerseySTEM is seeking a skilled Scrum Master to help implement and execute transformational organization outcomes. The candidate will have demonstrated expertise and application of Agile methodologies, techniques and frameworks, a successful track record of driving and facilitating teams, commitment to continuous learning and mindset of relentless improvement.Ā
Responsibilities
- Attend the Scrum meeting of the team you will be supporting (weekly or daily).
- Create user stories to describe work items, with clear descriptions and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize stories for the backlog and keep the team organized and focused.
- Conduct weekly meetings and monitor the health of the Kanban or Sprint board.
- Encourage team members to utilize JIRA for task management.
- Drive open communication with team members.
- Be the servant leader for the team members, mentoring/assisting them when needed.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and be āTHE CHAMPION OF CHANGEā.
Qualifications
Technical Qualifications:
- Experience using Jira, Kanban or Sprint Board, SlackĀ
- Excellent communication, analytical, mentoring and problem-solving skills
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification preferred
