Job Summary:

  • Under minimum supervision perform various hand and machine operations on different kinds of sheet metal. 

  • Fabricate and install those materials.  

  • Must have experience as a pattern maker and be able to layout, design and fabricate all types of transitions and offsets as related to duct work. 

  • Must know uses, properties and relative strength of materials.

  • Reference, support, and utilize appropriate GOPs and UOPs.

  • Provide improvement suggestions where needed.

  • Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business processes in scope of responsibility.

Pay:

  • This is a union position with a set rate of $35.39 per hour.

Basic Qualifications:
 

  • High School Diploma/GED with 5 plus years of tinsmith/sheet metal experience, journeymen preferred.

  • Candidates must provide documentation showing all applicable experience.

  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Ability to work overtime as required.

  • Extensive experience with shears, brakes, punches, and metal forming equipment.

  • High degree of mechanical aptitude.

This position falls under a Federal Explosives License issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for this location. Candidates hired into this role will be required to complete and submit an Employee Possessor Questionnaire to ATF for approval to be a possessor.
