This role involves managing staff, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with company policies and standards to deliver an exceptional shopping experience. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and lead the grocery department team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards. - Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of products. - Ensure the grocery department is clean, organized, and visually appealing to enhance the customer shopping experience. - Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards to maintain a secure and compliant working environment. - Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. - Collaborate with other departments to coordinate promotions, sales events, and merchandising strategies. - Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement within the grocery department. - Prepare and manage department budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are controlled effectively. - Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff to promote professional development and career growth. - Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously improve department operations and customer service. QualificationsRequired Education: - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - An associate's degree in business management or a related field is preferred. Required Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail grocery environment. - Proven track record of supervising a team in a fast-paced setting. - Experience in inventory management and stock control. - Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
