Description:Ā 

We are seeking a motivated and eager IT Support and Operations Intern to join our team.Ā  This is an in-office position. This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience by providing front-line support.Ā  This includes solving technical issues and fulfilling service requests such as deploying hardware software and system access and Improving day-1 productivity, as well as implementing AI enabled applications. The intern will work as part of a support and operations team to complete tasks with mentoring and supervision.Ā  Interns can work full time hours but tend to work part time during fall/winter and fulltime spring/summer.Ā 

  

Responsibilities:Ā 

Ā 

Request Fulfillment  

  • Manage user requests for new software, hardware, and other IT-related servicesĀ 

  • Ensure timely and efficient request fulfillmentĀ 

Incident Resolution  

  • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all internal usersĀ 

  • Respond to inquiries, diagnose problems, and guide users through step-by-step solutionsĀ 

Technical Support  

  • Assist with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of system hardware and softwareĀ 

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issuesĀ 

  • Escalate problems to higher-level support when necessaryĀ 

User Education  

  • Educate users on basic system use and best practices to enhance their knowledge and reduce future issuesĀ 

  • Maintain detailed records of user issues, resolutions, and help desk activitiesĀ 

  • Update and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles to assist in resolving future issuesĀ 

Collaboration  

  • Work closely with other IT staff to address broader issues and implement improvementsĀ 

  

Qualifications:Ā 

  • Currently pursuing or have completed (1) a college degree in information technology, information systems, computer science, electronics engineering OR (2) CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certificationsĀ 

  • Technical knowledge of hardware, software, and network systemsĀ 

  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk softwareĀ 

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and Azure ADĀ 

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skillsĀ 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skillsĀ
