As a Program Director, you will lead site operations, oversee housing programs and supportive services, and drive outcomes that help veterans and their families achieve long-term housing stability and independence. This role is ideal for a leader experienced in program management, staff supervision, and community partnerships within homeless services, supportive housing, or behavioral health. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily program operations for housing and supportive services programs Supervise Program Managers, behavioral health leaders, and multidisciplinary teams Ensure delivery of case management, mental health services, life skills programming, and housing support Build and maintain partnerships with VA, Continuum of Care (CoC), landlords, funders, and community providers Create and sustain a trauma-informed, therapeutic environment for clients Monitor program performance, outcomes, and service delivery metrics Ensure compliance with federal, state, and VA regulations, including HMIS data integrity Oversee facility operations, housing quality, and property management coordination Manage budgets, expenses, and program financial performance Lead staff hiring, supervision, training, and performance management Conduct internal audits, documentation reviews, and quality assurance activities Facilitate team meetings, stakeholder engagement, and community presentations Oversee inventory, site resources, and emergency preparedness QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field 4+ years of experience in program management, housing programs, or social services leadership Proven experience in staff supervision, program development, and budget management Strong knowledge of homeless services, supportive housing, and veteran services Experience with HMIS, data reporting, and compliance standards Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary team environments Excellent communication, public speaking, and stakeholder engagement skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and program data systems Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or Nonprofit Management Experience with VA programs, or Continuum of Care (CoC) systems Background in behavioral health or integrated service delivery models Why Join U.S.VETS Leadership role with direct impact on veteran housing outcomes Opportunity to lead high-performing programs and teams Collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on innovation and results
