Roles and Responsibilities:

• Abstract information fromdocumentation and assign appropriate ICD-10 codes

• Ensure codes are accurate andsequenced correctly by guidelines.

• Ensure compliance with medicalcoding policies and guidelines.

• Proficient coding of chartsacross a variety of specialties with over 95% accuracy

• Follow up with supervisor onany documentation that is insufficient or unclear

• Work as part of a team and helpteam to achieve the goals in quality and productivity standards.

• Maintain patientconfidentiality and strict adherence to HIPAA.

• Applying subject expertise inevaluating business operations and processes.

Successful Candidate Must have:

• Knowledge of anatomy,physiology, and medical terminology

• Apply understanding of anatomyand physiology to interpret clinical documentation and identify applicablemedical codes
