Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Alhambra Post Acute – Sacramento, CA
Pay: $50–$55/hour (based on experience)

Alhambra Post Acute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled nursing team. If you are passionate about helping patients regain independence, improve function, and achieve meaningful outcomes, we would love to meet you.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Implement individualized treatment plans as prescribed by physicians and OTs
  • Complete daily documentation and weekly progress reports in compliance with state and payer guidelines
  • Communicate patient progress and concerns with therapy and nursing teams
  • Assist with caregiver and family education for safe discharge planning
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning
  • Support restorative nursing programs and train restorative aides
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment
  • Report equipment needs and safety concerns promptly
  • Participate in ongoing training, in-services, and staff development

Qualifications:

  • Active COTA license in good standing (required)
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Therapy Practice Act
  • Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care preferred
  • Familiarity with Casamba and PointClickCare preferred
  • Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach
