Occupational Therapist - Contingent/IRP

Occupational therapist will be responsible for providing patient care to the newborn populations for both the Well Baby and Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Prior experience with these populations is preferred.

Additional Information:

Occupational therapists focus on promoting the physiological, neurological and cognitive development in newborns through evidence-based interventions. They assess reflexes, feeding and swallowing and provide individualized treatments for positioning, sleeping, hand-to-mouth activities, strengthening and sensory development. They also educate parents on how to care for their newborn after discharge, ensuring continuity of care.

Provides occupational therapy services to newborn patients in the well baby and NICU populations

Minimum Qualifications -

Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school; OT license from state of Ohio; 0 years of relevant experience required; 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred
