Part Time Nanny – Astoria, NY 

A family in  Astoria, NY 11105  is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nanny for their 2 year old son.

Schedule:

• Start date: Tuesday, September 15, 2026
•  Tuesdays & Fridays, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (10 hours/week)
• Potential for ad-hoc additional days/hours based on nanny availability

Family Specifications:

• Smoke free home
• 1 pet toy poodle 
• Care will take place in home, in daycare setting, and during rides on Subway

Responsibilities:

• Safely escort child on public transit between home in Astoria, NY and Daycare in Manhattan and then back home.
• Remain on-site at the center during classes to assist and support as needed
• Provide vigilant supervision, physical support, and safety during all transit commutes and outings.
• Step in calmly and decisively to ensure child safety during transit

Requirements:

• Proven experience providing childcare for toddlers 
• Demonstrated comfort and skill navigating NYC public transit safely with a young child.
• Highly dependable, punctual, and attentive to safety details.
• Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and focused in high-density environments or during unexpected situations/emergencies.
• Comfortable working alongside family members/guardians as well as independently.

Preferred:

• Fluency in Greek is highly preferred 
• Proficiency in French or Spanish is also a plus
• CPR and First Aid certification

Compensation:

• $25.00 – $30.00 / hour
