Peninsula Post Acute is a premier short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility dedicated to helping residents regain strength, mobility, and independence. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our collaborative in-house rehabilitation team on a PRN basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

  • Assist residents in improving mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence.

  • Complete accurate and timely daily documentation, progress notes, and other required clinical records.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety techniques, and discharge recommendations.

  • Participate in care conferences and communicate resident progress with the healthcare team.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.

  • Assist in training restorative nursing staff as appropriate to support resident outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Current California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

  • Passion for providing high-quality rehabilitation services.
