PT Housekeeper

The Housekeeper is primarily responsible for performing general cleaning and housekeeping duties as assigned.

Compensation for the Housekeeper is $18.63 an hour.

The schedule for this position is Saturday - Wednesday from 5:30AM-12PM on our East Peoria campus. Illinois Central College has three campuses (East Peoria, Peoria, Pekin) and housekeepers may rotate between the campuses as needed.

Essential Functions:

• Vacuum carpets and sweep, dust and mop floors.

• Spot clean floor coverings, walls, doors and window glass. Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.

• Empty and reline wastebaskets.

• Clean drinking fountains.

• Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.

• Pick up trash and refuse and deposit in appropriate containers.

• Assist during emergency situations or hazardous conditions.

• Assist custodians as assigned.

• Assist set-ups as assigned.

• Perform related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid driver's license or equivalent with an acceptable driving record.

• Manual dexterity.

• Physical ability to lift and carry safely a minimum of 50 pounds.

• Must be able to work at all locations as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent with six months or more of direct experience.

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent with one or more years of related experience.
