This role supports patients in improving safety, independence, daily function, and quality of life across home, outpatient, assisted living, independent living, board and care, and other community-based settings. What You’ll Do Deliver occupational therapy interventions according to the established care plan and within OTA scope of practice. Help patients build skills in ADLs, IADLs, mobility, cognition, safety awareness, and functional independence. Educate patients and caregivers on home programs, adaptive techniques, fall prevention, energy conservation, and safe use of equipment. Communicate patient progress, changes in condition, care barriers, and safety concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist and care team. Complete accurate, timely documentation in compliance with organizational, payer, privacy, and regulatory requirements. QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program or equivalent recognized program. Current, unrestricted California Occupational Therapy Assistant license. Current CPR/BLS certification. One year of clinical experience preferred; home health, outpatient, geriatric, community-based, or rehabilitation experience a plus. Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area and meet the physical demands of patient care, with or without reasonable accommodation.
