Ukrainian-English Conference Interpret

If you’re an experienced Ukrainian-English Conference Interpreter, ATLAS Advisors, LLC is looking for professionals like you to support current and future high-level international conferences and events throughout Europe.

You’ll have the opportunity to use your interpretation skills in professional, multinational environments, supporting conferences, working groups, meetings, and discussions between Ukrainian and English-speaking participants. Assignments may include consecutive and/or whispered interpretation, often working alongside other experienced interpreters.

These are short-term opportunities that will vary based on each conference or event. Specific dates, locations, schedules, duration, and assignment details will be shared with you as opportunities become available, allowing you to determine your availability and interest for each assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional Ukrainian-English and English-Ukrainian consecutive and/or whispered interpretation during conferences, working groups, meetings, and discussions.
  

• Accurately interpret complex and specialized discussions while maintaining meaning, context, tone, and appropriate terminology.
  

• Work individually or alongside other interpreters to provide consistent and professional language support throughout assigned events.
  

• Support collaborative discussions, presentations, and exchanges between Ukrainian and English-speaking participants in multinational environments.
  

• Apply professional interpretation techniques, including note-taking when appropriate, to accurately communicate detailed and complex information.
  

• Maintain professionalism, discretion, accuracy, and confidentiality throughout each assignment.
  

Required Qualifications

• Current SECRET security clearance.
  

• English: Native or full professional proficiency CEFR C1 minimum; C2 strongly preferred.
  

• Ukrainian: Native or full professional proficiency CEFR C1 minimum; C2 strongly preferred.
  

• Experience providing consecutive and/or over-the-shoulder whispered interpretation.
  

• University diploma in English or Ukrainian, with strong proficiency in the other language.
  

• Experience providing Ukrainian-English translation or interpretation support at a minimum of four (4) high-level conferences or equivalent high-visibility events within the last four years.
  

Desired Qualifications

• Experience supporting multiple high-level conferences or high-visibility events.
  

• Formal interpreter training or structured professional interpreter mentoring.
  

• Formal training or experience in consecutive interpretation note-taking.
  

• Experience providing chuchotage (whispered interpretation).
  

• Previous experience supporting government, international, or multinational organizations.
  

• Experience supporting senior-level meetings, planning sessions, conferences, and multinational working groups.
