PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Warehouse Associate in Shepherdsville, Kentucky on a fixed term basis. JOB SUMMARY: In the warehouse you will mainly be involved in processing orders for our customers, as well as working with your colleagues in the warehouse to ensure efficiency in all areas.
As part of the warehouse team, you will play an important role in servicing the customers of Portwest LLC in the United States. We will afford you with the support and guidance you need to succeed in your role, and the development of our business. Some very basic computer skills are required as part of the role.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May include a combination of some or all of the following:

  • Order picking with manual, paper-based pick sheet
  • Ensuring order accuracy in size, color, quantity, etc.
  • Order packing in preparation for shipping.
  • Ensuring targets are met (working to speed and accuracy).
  • Creating shipping labels using computer applications.
  • Maintaining a high level of health and safety standards.
  • Creating shipping labels using computer applications.
  • Using internal systems to identify and correct any stock problems.
  • Using computer-based scan system to ensure 100% accuracy of large orders.
  • Receive stock from shipping containers & put away accordingly.
  • Count inventory in regular cycle counts.
  • Use computer as needed for admin tasks.
  • Process returns & issue credits.
  • Performing other general warehouse duties as required.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Very basic computer skills 
  • Strong level of English
