Job DetailsJob Location: Tamuning, Guam 96913Salary Range: $9.25 - $10.25 HourlySUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Tire Technician is responsible in performing tire services on all vehicles and equipment for customers in the shop or off site, focusing on making tires safe and reliable and ensuring they work in tandem with other vehicle systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Installs, repairs, balances, and rotates tires for both passenger and commercial vehicles. 2. Patches tires, inspects tire wear patterns, and ensures tires are correctly inflated and properly replaced on the vehicle. 3. Responsible for pick-up and delivery services. 4. Responsible for organizing the warehouse and off-loading container shipments. 5. Responsible for policing the tools and equipment. 6. Responsible for tire disposals. 7. Responsible for the disposal of rubbish. 8. Responsible for cleaning work space and surrounding areas. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is regularly performed in a shop environment. The employee is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise, heat, and outdoor elements. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, bend, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift/carry at least 50 lbs. POSITION TYPE This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Must be able to work 8 hours a day and will be given a regular day off. Able to anticipate and understand customer’s needs and provide viable solutions. 3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 4. Ability to manage time efficiently. 5. Excellent organizational skills 6. Chauffeur’s License required. 7. DOT Medical Certificate required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1. High School Diploma or GED. 2. Tire Technician experience a plus, will train and certify.
