Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Truck Gate Specialist in Northampton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, monitoring activity, and conducting routine patrols. Your customer service and communication skills will help create a welcoming experience while supporting security-related operations. Truck Gate Specialist

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, following visitor and contractor sign-in procedures, issuing access badges as authorized, and maintaining accurate entry records.
• Observe inbound and outbound traffic at designated entry points, support vehicle and driver check-in processes, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
