Overview

In a support role to the team the Multi-Line Underwriting Assistant responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • New Business support, such as, pre-bind risk analysis within prescribed authority, reconciliation of binds to ensure all issued.
  • Renewal support including pre-underwriting review, quoting, system updates, data collection and any other non-core underwriting type duties as directed.
  • Broker of record handling
  • Endorsement review and pre-screening as directed
  • Cancellation and reinstatement handling as directed.
  • Recommendation review and handling.
  • Special projects as needed
  • Maintains ownership of tasks assigned and provide acceptable service standards when processing and assigning tasks.
  • Provide agency support to assigned agents by answering general questions, providing endorsement status, cancellation status, billing inquires, etc. or directs to correct contact.

Qualifications

  • Have the knowledge and skills needed to review Workers’ Compensation lines of business.
  • Proven team player and energetic personality.
  • Positive “can-do” attitude
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Underwriting assistant 
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • High commitment to achievement of business goals.
  • Ability to work beyond core work hours
  • Genuine interest and passion for the business demonstrated by actions.
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet productivity deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented with a desire to learn.

The expected salary range for this role is $17.00-$26.00/HR.
