The role you will contribute:

The Manager of Hospital Medicine and Clinical Performance leads and coordinates the Hospital Medicine program across AH to improve performance of Hospitalists and Hospital Medicine Groups to meet System Hospital Medicine Purpose/Vision and Performance Goals. The Manager of Hospital Medicine and Clinical Performance will manage and direct projects involving Hospital Medicine including clinical, business, staffing, finance, operational efficiency, mission and physician well-being efforts. The Manager will be directly responsible for managing Communication Forums with Hospitalists and Hospital Medicine leaders. The Manager of Hospital Medicine and Clinical Performance will provide consultative services to providers including direct interaction with Hospitalists, Hospital Medicine Groups (HMG), HMG and facility administrative leaders as well as facility executive leaders with the goal of improving outcomes. The Manager of Hospital Medicine and Clinical Performance will be expected to be able to research and develop solutions for identified AH HMG provider operational deficiencies and develop and executive educational plans. The Manager of Hospital Medicine and Clinical Performance will be accountable for specific process implementation projects and will be expected to be able to develop and lead other projects as required.

  • Collaborates with clinical teams, hospital medicine groups, and corporate assets to develop and implement operational improvements to enhance provider performance.
  • Builds partnerships with hospital medicine groups to implement education and process changes, including onboarding education.
  • Assists the Director of Hospital Medicine in analyzing and evaluating facility hospital medicine group operations, finance, and implementing recommended changes to improve performance.
  • Coordinates operations of the hospital medicine team with other departments as required.
  • Assists the Director of Hospital Medicine in developing a best practice model in collaboration with other assets.
  • Collaborates with hospital medicine analytics manager and performance improvement specialist to execute hospital medicine initiatives.
  • Develops and manages hospital medicine communication forums.
  • Understands hospital medicine outcomes and operational metrics.
  • Operationalizes the use of analytics and leverages data to improve performance.
  • Develops professional presentations for teaching or communicating to hospitalists or hospital medicine leaders.
  • Develops, leads, and manages hospital medicine or related projects in cooperation with the Director of Hospital Medicine.


The expertise and experiences you鈥檒l need to succeed:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or business related field

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 5+ years healthcare clinical experience, strong clinical background

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 3+ Leadership Experience

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Hospitalist / Hospital Medicine Group Operations.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrates knowledge and use of effective quality improvement/change management techniques with the ability to lead the implementation of new models and ensure the goals are achieved

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Highly engaged, energetic and focused.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to understand major objectives and break them down into meaningful action steps.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Methodically analyzes and evaluates business problems by defining the challenges, identifying alternatives and making timely suggestions.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Effective Communication and Influence skills

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Project management including ability to learn and effectively use project management software

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proficiency in Office Suite of Products particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proficiency or ability to learn Social Media Management

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work well with staff at all levels of the organization.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 In-depth knowledge of clinical and non-clinical hospital operations and continuum of care quality standards and regulations.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required or

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Registered Nurse (RN) or

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

Preferred Qualifications:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Master's Degree

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Six Sigma (SS)

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Physician Assistant

聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Physician Recruitment and Contracting experience
