Responsibilities

The Chaplain is responsible for providing spiritual and supportive care to the patients, families, and employees of Baptist St. Anthony’s Health System.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:  

  • Holds ordination or endorsement by a denomination or religious organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completed 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education, or related professional certification.

Preferred Job Requirements:  

  • 3 years of work providing spiritual care in a health care facility, or 5 years of work providing spiritual care in a church or institutional setting.
  • Master's Degree in theology, religious education, or related field from an accredited Seminary or Graduate School.

  • Completed 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education, or related professional certification.

  • Effective knowledge of the spiritual and emotional needs of persons and the ability to make appropriate interventions.

  • Functions effectively under stress and in a dynamic environment.
