About the Job

As a Senior Performance Engineer at Aspire, you will design, execute, and analyze performance tests to ensure applications can handle expected workloads and meet performance, scalability, and reliability requirements. You will be an integral part of our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying performance bottlenecks, analyzing system behavior under different workloads, and ensuring applications meet client performance expectations before production releases.

What You Will Do

  • Review and comprehend User Stories, technical requirements, and performance requirements for the assigned projects.
  • Work with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams to understand application architecture and identify performance testing requirements.
  • Define performance testing strategies, scenarios, workloads, and acceptance criteria based on business and technical requirements.
  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain performance test scripts and scenarios using Tricentis NeoLoad or similar performance testing tools.
  • Perform different types of performance testing, including load, stress, endurance, scalability, and volume testing.
  • Analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks related to application, database, API, infrastructure, or network performance.
  • Monitor system behavior and key performance indicators during test execution.
  • Collaborate with development and technical teams to investigate performance issues and support root-cause analysis.
  • Prepare performance test reports and provide clear findings, recommendations, and improvement areas to the client.
  • Ensure performance testing is completed within the agreed timelines and project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain performance testing plans and support performance validation before production releases.
  • Continuously improve performance testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software testing, with significant hands-on experience in performance testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with performance testing tools, preferably Tricentis NeoLoad.
  • Experience designing and executing load, stress, endurance, scalability, and volume tests.
  • Strong understanding of performance testing concepts, workload modelling, test planning, and performance analysis.
  • Experience with Web and API performance testing.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and HTTP protocols.
  • Experience analyzing performance test results and identifying application and infrastructure bottlenecks.
  • Experience with database performance testing and SQL is preferred.
  • Experience with monitoring and performance analysis tools is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and analyze complex software requirements and technical specifications.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to present technical findings clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Awareness or knowledge of IT security best practices as defined by ISO/SOC or similar standards.
