Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., is excited to announce an immediate opening for a Senior Permit Technician in the Anaheim, CA area. As a Permit Technician, you will be the first point of contact for residents, contractors, and developers at the permit counter. Your role will be vital in ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely processing of permits. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing customer support at the counter and over the phone. 
  • Reviewing permit applications for completeness and accuracy. 
  • Calculating and collecting permit fees. 
  • Processing and issuing building permits. 
  • Ensuring all conditions of approvals are met prior to issuance. 
  • Assisting the public with completing permit applications. 
  • Verifying all necessary project approvals are obtained. 
  • Notifying applicants when construction documents and/or permits are ready. 
  • Coordinating and routing documents for plan review and approval. 
  • Helping resolve resident inquiries and complaints. 

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented and customer-focused professional who can balance technical accuracy with exceptional service. 
  • ICC Permit Tech Certification.
  • (Counter Technician) and municipal experience. 
  • 7+ years as a Permit Technician in Municipality.
  • Knowledge of permitting software.
  • Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
