Job Summary
The Communication Officer will support the organization’s internal and external communication activities by creating clear and engaging content, managing communication channels, and assisting with the coordination of communication initiatives. The role is suitable for an entry-level candidate with good writing, interpersonal, organizational, and digital communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in developing and distributing internal and external communication materials.
Draft, edit, and proofread emails, newsletters, reports, announcements, and other communication content.Support the management of the organization’s social media platforms and online communication channels.
Create engaging content for social media, websites, and other digital platforms.
Assist in collecting information, stories, photographs, and updates for communication purposes.
Maintain accurate records of communication activities, publications, and media materials.
Support the planning and promotion of organizational events, campaigns, and awareness activities.
Respond to routine communication inquiries and direct complex issues to the appropriate team members.
Help ensure consistency in the organization’s tone, messaging, and branding.
Monitor communication platforms and provide updates on audience engagement and feedback.
Assist with preparing presentations, flyers, posters, and other promotional materials.Coordinate with different departments to gather information and ensure timely communication.
Conduct basic research on communication trends, audiences, and relevant topics.
Support media engagement and maintain a database of media contacts where required.
Perform other communication and administrative duties as assigned
