In addition, our staff are eligible for the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program!    What the Technology Specialist does: The Technology Specialist provides leadership, organization, and training to staff and students in the area of technology. This role supports the development of students' digital literacy and technology skills while partnering with staff to effectively integrate technology into classroom instruction. The Technology Specialist also assists with technology equipment management, instructional technology initiatives, and staff development. Provides age-appropriate technology instruction and evaluates student learning outcomes. Teaches digital citizenship, including online safety, cyberbullying prevention, and digital ethics. Assists in student crisis counseling as needed. Organizes technology lab furniture and equipment to create a safe and effective learning environment. Assesses staff technology needs and establishes training priorities. Provides ongoing technology training and support to staff. Serves as a resource for teachers in the use of instructional technology and recommends technology tools that support student learning. Models effective technology integration in classroom instruction.  Develops and monitors assigned technology budgets. Selects instructional technology programs, materials, and strategies for student use. Maintains communication with staff and appropriate external partners as needed. Ensures technology equipment is properly maintained, organized, and stored. Supports school-wide technology initiatives and projects. Serves on technology committees and task forces. Assists with the purchase and maintenance of computer systems. Supports technology setup and operation for school events and activities. Attends staff meetings, professional development activities, and school events as required. Performs other duties as assigned. QualificationsWhat the Technology Specialist brings to the team:  Bachelor's Degree required. Collegiate Professional Certificate or higher in a relevant content area preferred. Experience teaching technology and/or supporting technology integration in an educational environment preferred. Knowledge of instructional technology tools and digital learning platforms. Strong presentation, training, and communication skills. Ability to support students with varying academic, behavioral, and learning needs. Experience providing staff training and coaching preferred. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and technology troubleshooting skills.
