Position Summary: 

The Kenjya-Trusant Group is looking for a Systems Architect to support our Maryland Customer for cross domain solutions.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Applies systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives. Responsibility for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288.
    • Technical Process Area - Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.
    • Project Process Area - Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
    • Enterprise (Organizational Project-Enabling) Process Area -Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
    • Agreement Process Area - Acquisition and Supply.
  • Assist in developing a new or innovative approach to a technical or engineering issue.
  • Assist in conducting an evaluation to determine its suitability for project implementation.
  • Supervise or coordinate the work of other contractor engineers or technicians on a project.
  • Analyzes user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities.
  • Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
  • Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Develops technical documentation. Develops system Architecture and system design documentation.
  • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or
  • preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.
  • Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.
  • Communicates with other  program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Due to the nature of this position and the information employees will be able to access; US Citizenship is required.
  • Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/ Poly
  • High School diploma with twenty-five (25) years of experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity OR Bachelor’s degree with twenty (20) years of experience. Education must be in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Qualified engineering fields include: Aeronautics, Biomedical, Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Nuclear, Software, Systems, and Engineering Management.

Related disciplines include: Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, and Physics.

Desired/Preferred Skills:

  • Proven track record of leading systems engineering efforts, managing technical teams, and supporting the full system lifecycle from design through deployment and sustainment.
  • Brings deep expertise in secure system architecture, infrastructure modernization, virtualization technologies, and operational reliability, along with strong capabilities in management, secure communications, remote systems administration, and performance monitoring. Recognized for effectively aligning technical solutions with mission objectives and driving successful outcomes in high-demand, highly regulated environments.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. 
 
The proposed salary range for this position is: $175,000 - $295,000
