Help Members learn job responsibilities, strengthen workplace skills and build independence. Demonstrate tasks, provide encouragement and celebrate progress toward employment goals.Build Confidence & Workplace Success Support Members in developing problem-solving, communication and decision-making skills. Help Members navigate workplace challenges and build positive working relationships. Encourage self-direction, personal growth and greater independence on the job.Support Individual Employment Goals Understand each Member’s strengths, needs and employment objectives. Adapt coaching and training to support individual learning styles and abilities. Monitor progress, document observations and communicate relevant updates. Work collaboratively with Members and employment partners to support successful outcomes.Promote Safety & Quality Support Respect Member rights, dignity and personal choices. Follow individualized service plans, organizational policies and applicable regulations. Recognize challenging situations and use appropriate prevention and de-escalation techniques. High school diploma, equivalent education and/or relevant work or life experience. Experience supporting individuals with physical or mental disabilities. Experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness preferred. Knowledge of appropriate crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques. Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, proof of auto insurance and ability to meet agency driving standards. Ability to successfully complete required caregiver background checks.
