A 26/27 - PRESCHOOL ASST (Campbell)

Human Resources announces an opening for a 1.0 FTE Preschool Assistant, A-09, 187 days, located at Campbell Elementary School.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Patient, flexible, and organized.
• Ability to communicate with parents.
• Collaborative team player.
• Willingness to work under teacher direction and supervision.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working with elementary students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Assistants must meet the requirements of the NCLB and Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) at the time of hire.
• A high school diploma, and An Associate Degree or two years of college study.
  • At least 60 semester hours or a score of at least 455 on the Parapro Test
  • Experience working with children.
  • Willingness to learn specialized techniques.
  • Willingness to work under teacher direction and supervision.
  • Ability to work with a small group of children independently.
  • Ability to follow through independently with teacher requests.

Salary range based upon 26/27 pay plan. 

Newly hired employees with previous experience in their field may receive salary credit for up
to five years of experience related to the job being filled.

A-Scale (Benefit Eligible): $24.60–$46.79 per hour
