Nightwing is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide rapid deployment and management of secure cloud-based engagement kits for cyber incident response and threat hunting operations. As part of the Engagement Support Services (ESS) contract, this program enables analysts to quickly access the tools and environments they need to investigate cyber threats affecting federal agencies, state and local governments, and critical infrastructure. Working on this team means directly supporting the nation's cybersecurity defenders by ensuring they have reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure available within hours of a cyber incident—helping protect America's digital infrastructure when it matters most.

The Lab Manager will support the sustainment of lab functions within the customer’s Lab environments includes providing IT support to the user community. This position supports the provisioning, issuing, and maintenance of IT equipment and access to lab environments as well as troubleshooting assistance to the user community.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing support as needed to lab staff in the tasks of provisioning and issuing equipment to end users, as well as maintaining inventory database. 
  • Provision and provide support for Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, VMWare, AWS) to users
  • Inventorying of IT assets to include, but not limited to, hardware and software, including licenses
  • Providing advice and assistance to users in accessing and using the lab and responds to users’ needs in a timely fashion
  • Administration and Maintenance of Apple products and Operating Systems

Required Skills:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
  • Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
  • 2+ years of experience in lab management or systems administration experience
  • Experience with multiple operating systems, to include Linux/Unix & MacOS
  • Experience with imaging workstations (Apple products preferred)
  • Ability to provide clear written and oral communication at all levels of the organization
  • Experience establishing and maintaining good working relationships in all levels of the organization, including customers, external organizations, internal management, and peers

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency and proven capability in the following areas:
    • Asset management practices and principles
    • Hardware and software provisioning practices
    • Authentication and access management technologies
  • Experience with virtual desktops (Cisco, Citrix, VMWare, AWS)
  • Experience supporting Virtual Private Network (VPNs)
  • Experience with writing technical procedures and standard operating procedures
  • Virtualization automation and optimization

Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or related discipline; or HS Diploma & 4-6 years of directly relevant

Desired Certifications:

- DoD 8140.01 IAT Level II
