T26/27-CAREER & TECH ED TEACHER (GRACE HOPPER-TECHNICAL)

Qualifications:

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in one of the following endorsement areas: Pharmacy Tech; Technology Education 
• Earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university and hold a current license or certification as a professional practitioner in the area in which one is to be teaching and completed two years of successful, full-time or the equivalent of occupational experience within the past five years in an area related to the teaching specialty sought.
• This candidate needs to be able to be dual enrolled medical terminology with NOVA

Experience: 

• Teaching experience in the above mentioned area
• Knowledge of best instructional practices
• Ability to integrate technology
• Experience in educational and instructional leadership

Responsibilities:

• Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials
• Maintains safe and orderly environment
• Communicates with parents/guardians
• Maintains complete and accurate student records
• Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members
• Monitors and assesses student achievement
• Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings

Salary:

• Salary will be based on the FY26-27 salary schedule.
