Location: NationalCapital Region/Pentagon-area support Hybrid
- Conduct structured discovery sessions and process walkthroughs with assigned Government Action Officers and functional stakeholders.
- Review existing process documentation, policies, guidance, templates, systems, and reference materials.
- Capture how business processes operate from initiation through completion, including triggers, steps, responsible parties, decisions, approvals,hand-offs, systems, inputs, outputs, dependencies, and completion criteria.
- Develop draft SOPs and desktop procedures using established templates and documentation standards.
- Create current-state process maps, workflow diagrams, checklists, templates, quick-reference guides, responsibilitymatrices, and supporting materials.
- Identify missing or outdated documentation, differences between established procedures and actual execution, recurring rework, manualworkarounds, and dependencies on individual personnel.
- Document potential operational, compliance, schedule, workforce, continuity, data, and execution risks for leadership review.
- Conduct artifact playback sessions with Action Officers, incorporate comments, maintain version control and artifactstatus, and track unresolved questions.
- Support organization of completed artifacts within designated repositories and participate in quality reviews to promote consistency across lines of effort.

Required Qualifications:
- Current U.S. Armed Forces Service member eligible and approved, or able to obtain approval, for DoD SkillBridge participation.
- Experience in military operations, administration, program management, project management, headquarters staff, logistics, finance, IT, acquisition, personnel, oranother structured functional environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to organize complex explanations into logical processes.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to ask effective follow-up questions and identify missing information.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interact professionally with military, civilians, and contractor stakeholders.
- Previous experience as a military Action Officer, staff officer/NCO, program/project manager, operations specialist, executive supportprofessional, or process owner.
- Experience supporting DoD headquarters or senior-level organizations.
- Experience developing SOPs, continuity books, operating instructions, checklists, policy/procedure documentation, or training materials.
- Familiarity with process mapping, Lean Six Sigma, continuous process improvement, project management, or knowledge management.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, or Power Automate.
- PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, Scrum, or related training/certification.
- Mentorship and guidance via weekly SkillBridge Intern Zoom Meetings.
- PM Fundamentals course, Resume writing, LinkedIn optimization, and interview skills course.
