Automotive Quick Lube Technician / Entry Level Technician

• Performmultipoint inspections
  
• Communicateadditional service/repair needs to service advisors
  
• Serviceuniversal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- orcompressed-air powered grease guns
  
• Inspectfluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions,differentials, rear axle housings and shackles
  
• Checktire pressure
  
• Lubricatemoving parts with specified lubricants
  
• Drainoil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil
  
• Addwater to radiator and battery
  
• Replaceoil and air filters
  
• Inspectall vehicles for additional repairs
  
• Adhereto all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and codes of conduct
  
• Followdealership safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, and harshchemicals
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Mustmeet dealership’s requirements for employment
  
• Abilityto read/comprehend written instructions and information
  
• Familiaritywith all aspects of automotive repair/maintenance
  
• Musthave a valid driver license and be able to operate manual transmissions
  
• Priorexperience as a technician’s helper or apprentice preferred
  
• Effectivecommunication and interpersonal skills
  

• Occasionalexposure to inclement weather
  
• Abilityto operate an automobile
  
• Prolongedperiods of standing, stooping, and bending
  
• Exerting20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of forcefrequently, and/or greater than 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  
• Requiresa significant amount of walking and/or standing. May also require working inthe seated position for long periods while operating controls with arms andlegs. This position may also require working at a production pace while pushingand/or pulling materials from place to place.
