Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Asheville Facility - Asheville, NC 28806Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $16.00 - $16.00 HourlyJob Shift: DayJob Category: ManufacturingQuilting Machine Operator   Reports to:  Sr. Sewing Supervisor       Supervises:  N/A Summary Statement:   Under the general supervision of the Sr. Sewing Supervisor, the person in this position is responsible for operating the quilting machine following all established work, quality, and safety procedures. Essential Job Functions Set up batting, fabric and thread in quilting machine. Monitor quilting process, stopping machine and correcting flawed areas. Follows vendor’s recommendations as to operation and maintenance of equipment. Notify supervisor of any problems or concerns regarding product or procedures. Marginal Job Functions Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit. Assist in unloading China truck. Participate in training and meetings as requested. Perform other duties as assigned.  QualificationsWorking Conditions Must be able to visually perform inspections of fabric as it is being quilted. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work both planned and unplanned overtime. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Must be able to work professionally as part of a team with other department employees. Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work, quality and safety procedures. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated. Must have good hand/eye coordination. Must be detail oriented. Must perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workloads.
