Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Driver to support our Nu Pipe Division in underground utility construction and rehabilitation projects. This role is responsible for transporting tools, equipment, materials, and crew support items to and from job sites while also assisting field crews with general labor duties as needed. This position is based in or around Charlotte and Asheville, NC and requires extensive travel with an approximate 10-days-on / 4-days-off rotational schedule. Candidates must be comfortable working in active construction environments, traveling frequently, and supporting multiple job sites across assigned regions.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport tools, equipment, materials, and crew support items to job sitesÂ
- Load, unload, and properly secure materials and equipmentÂ
- Assist field crews with general labor and job site support tasks as neededÂ
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance issuesÂ
- Maintain accurate trip, mileage, and delivery records as requiredÂ
- Follow all OSHA and company safety standards and proceduresÂ
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, and crew membersÂ
- Ensure timely and safe deliveries to active job sitesÂ
- Travel overnight as part of a 10-days-on / 4-days-off rotation schedule
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or olderÂ
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL not required)Â
- Prior driving, construction, or field service experience preferred (not required)Â
- Ability to work in outdoor environments and physically demanding conditionsÂ
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learnÂ
- Ability to work independently and as part of a teamÂ
- Strong communication and reliabilityÂ
- Must be willing to travel extensively on a 10-days-on / 4-days-off rotational scheduleÂ
- Must be based in or near Charlotte or Asheville, NC and willing to travel consistently
