How you’ll contribute:Ā 

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:Ā 

  • Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. Ā 

  • Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.Ā 

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.Ā 

  • Documents patient care given.Ā 

  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.Ā 

  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.Ā 

  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.Ā 

  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Ā 

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.Ā 

  • Performs role specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admissions and/or discharges, and coordinating transfers.Ā 

  • Responds to complaints about patient care and related services, and manages through established channels.Ā 

  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.Ā
