Job SummaryÂ
The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) - Division of Exceptional Students is recruiting for (2) experienced Results Driven Accountability Program Specialist. Under general supervision, this position will provide general supervision for local districts to ensure policy compliance and procedures and practices that complies with federal regulations and state rules. This position will provide leadership and coordination in the development and administration of statewide special education programs and mandates such cross functional monitoring and disproportionality.  Duties include but not limited to:Â
Description of DutiesÂ
Assist in the continuous improvement monitoring process as it relates to students with disabilities   Â
Provide oversight for the district review of policies, procedures and practicesÂ
Development of corrective action plansÂ
Correction of noncompliance in a timely mannerÂ
Appropriate development of plans and use of funds as required per state or federal mandatesÂ
Timely and accurate data submissionsÂ
Must also be able to prepare guidelines, memoranda, reports, and presentation materialsÂ
Conduct training and staff development activities for local districtsÂ
Personnel must be able to complete required job duties with limited supervisionÂ
**Statewide travel, including overnight stays, is required. Proficiency in conducting and participating in online meetings on a daily basis is required.  This is a field-based position. Applicant must reside in either Northwest Georgia RESA or North Central Georgia RESAÂ
Preferred Qualifications:Â
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following:Â
A doctorate degree, education specialist in school psychology, special education or educational leadershipÂ
 Experience in K-12 education, school psychology or special educationÂ
 Experience in the supervision and monitoring of special education programs and developing policies, practices and proceduresÂ
Experience implementing district and/or school improvement processes, providing technical assistance at the school and district level, and delivering professional learning to broad audiencesÂ
Strong knowledge and skill in Specially Designed Instruction, PBIS, SST, evidence-based instruction and interventions, as well as supporting districts with equitable discipline practicesÂ
 Excellent oral and written communicationÂ

Qualifications Â
Master's degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in education or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Seven years of related experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
