Reports to the Hertz Chief of Staff and sits within the Office of the CEO.

Hertz is transforming from a traditional rental car company into a modern mobility platform powered by data, technology, and operational excellence. Our strategy focuses on optimizing fleet economics, accelerating the digital customer experience, expanding off-airport and mobility partnerships, and unlocking new value from our global fleet platform.

To drive this transformation, we are building a Strategy & Execution Office within the Office of the CEO; a small, high-impact team responsible for setting enterprise priorities and ensuring they are executed with speed, rigor, and measurable results.

Enterprise Strategy & Execution Leads are the operators who make this transformation real. They sit at the center of the company’s most important decisions and initiatives, owning the end-to-end orchestration of enterprise-critical work that directly impacts Hetz’s strategy and financial performance.

This is a high-visibility role partnering directly with senior executives across the company.

This role is not traditional corporate strategy or a traditional PMO. It’s both; deciding what matters most and making sure it gets done.

What You Will Do

Accelerate the Transformation – lead execution across enterprise-critical initiatives including:

  • Fleet optimization and cost discipline

  • Digital customer experience transformation

  • Technology simplification and modernization

  • Expansion of off-airport and mobility businesses

  • Operational efficiency and utilization improvements

  • New revenue opportunities across the Hertz platform

Lead Enterprise Initiatives

  • Own execution of high-impact initiatives across operations, technology, fleet, pricing, or customer experience

  • Align cross-functional teams and maintain forward momentum

  • Resolve blockers and manage interdependencies across functions

  • Drive consistent execution discipline

Reinforce Execution Discipline

  • Define scope, milestones, KPIs, and clear success metrics

  • Maintain roadmaps, dependency management, and portfolio visibility

  • Monitor objective health, risks, and benefits realization

  • Embed delivery standards and change readiness to sustain impact

Accelerate Decision-Making

  • Frame tradeoffs and decisions clearly for leadership

  • Surface risks and capacity constraints early

  • Ensure timely decisions so execution does not stall

Connect Strategy to Measurable Impact

  • Translate enterprise priorities into actionable plans

  • Ensure initiatives deliver measurable value – cost savings, revenue growth, utilization gains, speed

Build Future Leaders

  • Mentor high-potential talent across enterprise initiatives

  • Develop future operators through exposure to strategy, execution, and financial accountability

What Success Looks Like

  • Enterprise initiatives move faster, deliver measurable value, and produce fewer surprises

  • Cross-functional teams remain aligned and focused

  • Risks and interdependencies are surfaced early

  • Leadership trusts the data, governance, and decision framing

What We’re Looking For

  • 7–12 years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or program leadership

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment

  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and high-visibility environments

  • Comfort leveraging AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve speed and impact

  • Excellent structured thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Bias toward action and measurable outcomes

Preferred

  • Former tier-one consulting engagement manager, or equivalent

  • Experience driving operational improvement, cost transformation, or digital modernization

  • Exposure to capital allocation or performance improvement programs

  • Track record of quantifiable financial impact (EBITDA, cost savings, revenue lift)

  • Experience managing delivery in matrixed or asset-heavy environments

  • Background in mobility, travel, logistics, marketplaces, or technology-enabled services

Mindset

  • Intellectually rigorous and curious – you seek root causes and systems-level clarity

  • Ownership mentality – you stay with problems through value realization

  • Bias toward action with urgency

  • Calm and resilient under pressure and cross-functional friction

  • Structured yet adaptable in ambiguity

  • Financially accountable – you think in measurable business impact

  • Strong operator instinct – you enjoy making complex systems work better

  • Influence without authority – credibility over hierarchy

  • Leverage-driven – you use AI and analytics as force multipliers

  • High learning velocity and commitment to continuous improvement
