Position Purpose Summary:

This role serves as an operational partner to both the HR Functions and the business, with a heavy focus on providing support during the new hire process.  Additionally, the role will serve as a single point of contact for various HR administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks

Talent Acquisition:

  • Post open positions
  • Generate pre-hire assessments
  • Schedule interviews
  • Produce offer letter
  • Process pre-employment background checks and drug tests; perform reference checks, if necessary

Onboarding:

  • Manage ADP new hire onboarding through completion
  • Complete I-9s and e-Verify within 3-day deadline
  • Set up new hires with required training(s)
  • Request IT System Access and add to related Distribution Lists
  • Assist with bulk onboarding during acquisitions

Employee Engagement

  • Answer basic employee inquiries
  • Support HR projects and initiatives (i.e. engagement surveys)

HR Operations:

  • Partner with HR Shared Services (Payroll, Compensation, Benefits and HRIS) to support payroll processing, annual benefits enrollment, and annual pay increase cycle
  • Maintain employee records and update the HRIS database with employee changes
  • Process non-RAMP expense reimbursement (Safety glasses, Steel toed boots, uniforms, etc.)
  • Process post-accident or reasonable suspiciondrug and alcohol testing
  • Administer DOT Random drug testing
  • Send related Leave of Absence paperwork toemployees

HR Reporting & Metrics:

  • Collect and consolidate data from OpCos for quarterly and annual Beijer Ref reporting
  • Generate HR reports and metrics on a quarterly basis and as needed

Offboarding:

  • Process terminations (HRIS entry, equipment returns, state separation notices, sending benefit communication)
  • Request removal of IT and system access

Education Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field preferred 

Years of Experience:  1+ years of experience in human resources or a detail oriented administrative function 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Must possess strong computer skills and have a desire to leverage technology to improve processes 
  • Strong ability to understand organizational needs and prioritize accordingly
